Ethics in the Use of Artificial Intelligence: A Fundamental Pillar of TAE

In a world where Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays an increasingly important role in transforming industries and societies, ethics in its development and application becomes an unavoidable priority.

The Highly Specialized Talent Development Program in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (TAE) not only focuses on training professionals with advanced technical skills, but also on instilling a deep understanding of the ethical and social implications of these technologies.

Responsibility in the Development and Use of AI

AI has the potential to improve quality of life, automate processes, and solve complex problems, but it also poses significant challenges, such as:

  • Transparency: Ensure that models and algorithms are understandable and explainable.
  • Bias and Discrimination: Prevent data used from perpetuating inequalities or generating unfair outcomes.
  • Privacy: Protect personal data and ensure that its use complies with current regulations.
  • Labor Impact: Consider how automation affects jobs and encourage its responsible integration.

TAE addresses these issues from a practical perspective, preparing participants to design and implement AI solutions that are technically robust and ethically responsible, generating trust with their customers and differentiating them from the rest of the market.

The Jalisco State Government, through the Coordination of Economic Growth and Development, the Secretariat of Innovation, Science and Technology, and CANIETI Occidente, will award a distinction to companies that, due to their leadership, integrity, dissemination, and ethics in the development, use, and implementation of Artificial Intelligence, set a benchmark for the State, Mexico, and the world.
